Janie Brooks

Janie is a Principal at The Nautical Group responsible for client delivery, training, and business development.

She brings more than 20 years of recruiting experience, including 15 years at McKinsey & Company, where she honed her expertise in talent strategy and leadership development. She went on to hold senior roles at Faire and Three Ships, helping scale teams and build talent infrastructure. In addition, through her firm JSB Search & Strategy, Janie has led executive searches, advised on talent processes, and provided performance coaching to leaders and teams.

A Raleigh native, Janie earned her B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Sean, and their son, Carter. Outside of work, she enjoys time with family, cheering on the Tar Heels, and staying connected to the local community.
