Steve Bastian

Steve is a Principal at The Nautical Group, where he leads business development and client relationships.

With more than 20 years of experience in talent acquisition and recruitment, Steve has worked with organizations ranging from small entrepreneurial firms to Fortune 500 companies. He is passionate about understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions across diverse corporate cultures.

A native of eastern North Carolina, Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in history from North Carolina Wesleyan College. He has served on the boards of UNC-Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business and the Food Runners Collaborative. Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active in the community, and racing his Porches whenever he gets the chance.
